Miss Tennessee International™ 2007

Rachael Ethridge
For the past two years Rachael has spent her spare time volunteering at the animal shelter in Knoxville, Tennessee. Rachael’s love for animals and what she has learned from working with homeless animals has inspired her to develop her platform around animal adoption. She believes that since animals cannot speak for themselves that it is our responsibility to take care of them.
As a student at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville majoring in Public Relations with a double minor in Business and Dance, Rachael found the size of the university to be a bit overwhelming as a freshman. She has made its size less overwhelming by becoming involved in several organizations. One such organization is the Ignite Team where she is a leader and helps incoming freshman get acquainted with the campus as well as find the organizations and groups that are best suited to their needs. Rachael also serves on the All Campus Events Committee which plans homecoming and other campus-wide activities. As Vice President of Programming for her sorority Delta Gamma, Rachael plans and executes events within her chapter. Along with her sorority sisters, she volunteers at the Student Disability Services by reading for the blind and dyslexic. Another one of Rachael’s passions is dancing, so it is fitting that she is a member of the University of Tennessee Dance Company where she dances in genres’ such as tap, ballet, jazz, and modern dance.
Upon completion of her degree in Public Relations, Rachael plans on auditioning for the Radio City Rockettes and hopefully beginning a career as one of the World Famous Radio City Rockettes.
